Guest asked: Each project will be approx $4000 (computer programming work). I have a full-time job and I’m going to do this work on the side during the weekends. Is there anyway to give the government their cut after each job? I **** trying to put money away to pay for taxes not knowing if it is too much or too little.
Could I setup an LLC and pay the taxes that way? Is there anyway to treat this seperate from my normal income taxes?
I’m not sure what the best way to handle this is.
Thanks.

I currently file separate taxes with my husband since the mortgage is under my name only. Would I get more taxes back if i filed jointly with my husband, since we pay more taxes added up together?

curious jane asked: In my new job, I will be receiving a one-time bonus of $3,500.00. All appropriate taxes will be withheld for this supplemental income. Because some of the costs associated with my move may be tax deductible, I was wondering if I could get additional information regarding tax reporting where I could write off for moving expenses.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you win $50,000+ from an online poker/gambling site based outside the US, is there any way to cash out the money without having to pay taxes? If not, can someone explain how taxes would work?

Slim asked:
I was a former member of an LLC that owned a restaurant. The business failed, I withdrew from the LLC and the remaining 2 partners are still active, but doing nothing with the business. Since I withdrew from the business prior to year end should I be concerned about the taxes being filed for the business or does that fall solely on the remaining members? Also, how do I report the money I loss on my personal taxes? I’d love to recover some of expenses.

I am in the Army, stationed in Colorado. I use our home of record (Maine) for state tax deductions from my paycheck. My wife works in the local area outside of the base, and has Colorado taxes deducted from her paycheck. Can we still file jointly?
