monaya asked:

An accountant who handled taxes did not report the taxable income correctly. Clients actually owed taxes but did not realize it. The IRS notified them a year later. The IRS is billing for the taxes owed and a near $2000 penalty which includes interest. Is it ok to sue the accountant for the penalty?

jwashburn00 asked:

I’m just starting a small business and am running it as a single member LLC. I know it will be taxed as a sole proprietorship. I’m just wondering what I need to do in order to figure if I should pay quarterly estimated taxes or if I can just wait until the end of the year. Is there a penalty for not paying estimated taxes as long as you can pay the whole amount at the end of the year? Any info or suggestions would be great.

How do I file taxes when I have worked somewhere other than my home state during the summer?

maddicat2006 asked:

I live in Texas and over the summer I lived and worked (for 2 months) in Arizona. I’m not sure how to file my taxes since my W-2’s will be from two different states. Texas does not have state taxes, only federal. Can I put my Arizona W-2 on my Federal 1040? Or do I need to file this separately with the state (if so how should I do this?)? If it makes any difference I probably only made around $1700 while working in Arizona.
