If I had $10,000 in income at the end of a year, which would be wiser to do. (1) Purchase more inventory and if so, would I have to pay taxes on that? (2) Pay taxes on the income. (3) Purchase assets?
This is based on a company in Florida which buys and resales merchandise that is shipped mostly out of state.

How much in taxes goes out of your paycheck for overtime hours? How much (percentage wise) in taxes would be taken out of 10, 15, and 20 hours of overtime?
I’ve heard that if you work more than 8 hours of overtime, the rest of it will just go to taxes.

angeldust asked:

I have asked a similar question a few times, and I wanted to clarify my situation in the hopes of being able to get the most accurate answer. I was hired to work as a secretary for 40 hours a week at a rate of 8 dollars an hour. My employer told me that I will need to do my own taxes, and she will not deduct them for me. I will not be filling out a W4 form at work. I was told that I would need to pay my taxes quarterly. This is brand new to me, and I am worried. I am trying to figure out how much money I will need to take out of each weekly pay check so that I don’t get into a situation of owing more taxes than I can afford to pay. My husband is not working, and we are on a very tight budget. I need to know how much to save each week for taxes, because every penny counts!

marinella1313 asked:

I am shipping my items only domestically. I sell children’s tshirts and they are not heavy to ship so how do I calculate taxes and shipping??

I have a UPS account but I know USPS is cheaper and probably more attractive to customers. Plus I am in California, so do I add the 8.25% sales tax? Or do I do a sales tax for each individual state?

Should I ship internationally?

truth is… asked:

I have heard a million times over to file taxes jointly with your spouse. However, every time I do taxes on Turbo Tax when I add his income in the tax due is TRIPLES or QUADRUPLES but our income only had doubled. I don’t understand! Where are the benefits?

We have no dependents, own our home, and earn the same amount of money as full-time public school teachers. Are there really benefits to filing jointly?
